Manufacturers of Eastern White Pine Lumber since 1976

Welcome

Durgin and Crowell Lumber Co., Inc., is an Eastern White Pine sawmill in Springfield, New Hampshire. Since its founding in 1976, Durgin and Crowell has grown to become one of New England’s largest manufacturers of kiln-dried Eastern White Pine lumber, annually producing up to 30 million board feet.

Durgin and Crowell prides itself not only on the quality of its products, but also its people; from log purchasing, to manufacturing, to sales. Their hard work and attention to detail help deliver products and service that keep customers and end-users coming back.

Our modern sawmill facility is designed for maximum efficiency and output, but also allows us the flexibility to cater to the diverse demands of our many customers.

Durgin and Crowell has a history of innovation, continually seeking new opportunities to grow and diversify its business. Enhance pre-coated pine paneling and Durgin and Crowell’s affiliation with Hampshire Hives are just two means by which we have sought to add value to our pine lumber.

We are a family business, and intend to remain that way for the future generations. We recognize the importance of a sustainable, long-term log supply and reliable log suppliers. Without logs, we don't have a business. Therefore, Durgin and Crowell is a proud participant in the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®)  fiber sourcing program, seeking to promote and educate landowners and loggers about the benefits of sustainable forestry.

Durgin and Crowell is located in Springfield, New Hampshire, with a mailing address in New London. We employ around 85 people, and each year purchase pine logs from over 150 different loggers, landowners and foresters in New Hampshire and Vermont.
